CLASSICAL STYLE

Before Soundhouse was asked to design and build this conversion,
it was a six-car garage with massive roll-up steel doors. It had
deteriorated so badly that the owner considered it a tear-down.
The front entry was designed after the Swiss Army Guard House in
the Vatican. Hidden from view by the palm to the left is a cat door
duplicate in miniature of the front entry.

It went from a dilapidated Italianate to a carefully renovated Mediterranean
Style. Note that the trellis are supported by columns in the
same style.

Originally there were no windows in this back wall of the Mediterranean.
The innovative use of gunite and steel beams allowed for the changes
in structure.

Such a presentation elicits an expectation of Mediterranean hospitality.
